Legal & Policies
1. Privacy Policy
House of Eyeglasses LLC (“we,” “us,” or “the store”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit or shop with us online, and how we use it — including prescription information when you order prescription lenses.
Information We Collect
- Contact details: name, email address, phone number.
- Shipping and billing address.
- Payment information (processed securely by our payment provider; we do not store your card numbers).
- Prescription information you provide or upload (sphere, cylinder, axis, add power, pupillary distance, prescribing doctor’s name and contact information).
- Order history and any communications with us.
- Browsing data (cookies, IP address, device type) — see our Cookie Policy for details.
How We Use Your Prescription Information
- To fill your order accurately and manufacture your prescription lenses.
- To verify your prescription with your eye care provider when required or when something appears unclear, consistent with the FTC Eyeglass Rule.
- We do not use prescription information for marketing purposes.
We are not a HIPAA-covered entity, but we treat prescription information as sensitive and limit access to staff who need it to fill your order.
Who We Share Information With
We do not sell or rent your personal or prescription information. We share it only with providers needed to run the store and fill your order — such as our e-commerce platform, our optical lab/manufacturing partner, shipping carriers, and, when necessary to verify a prescription, your prescribing doctor’s office.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal or prescription data (subject to recordkeeping requirements under Florida law), and you may opt out of marketing communications at any time. California residents: see our CCPA Privacy Notice for additional rights.
Children’s Privacy
Our store is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors without parental consent.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time and will post the date of the latest change here.

2. Terms of Use
By accessing or purchasing from houseofeyeglasses.com, you agree to the following terms.
About Our Products
House of Eyeglasses LLC sells prescription eyewear (frames with prescription lenses) in addition to non-prescription frames. We operate under an Optical Establishment permit issued by the State of Florida (permit number to be published above before the store opens) and in accordance with Chapter 484, Florida Statutes.
Prescription Requirements
- You must submit a valid, unexpired prescription from a licensed eye care professional to order prescription lenses.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the prescription and any measurements (such as pupillary distance) you provide.
- We may contact your prescriber to verify your prescription, consistent with the FTC Eyeglass Rule.
- We do not perform eye exams. This is not a substitute for regular professional eye care — please see your eye doctor for exams and prescription updates.
Order Accuracy
Because prescription lenses are made to order, please review your prescription and measurements carefully before submitting. If we make an error in filling your prescription as submitted, we will remake the order at no cost — see our Returns Policy.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent’s/guardian’s consent, to make a purchase on this site.
Pricing and Payment
All prices are listed in U.S. dollars (USD) and do not include applicable Florida sales tax, calculated at checkout. We accept the payment methods available at checkout.
Intellectual Property
The “House of Eyeglasses” name, logo, photography, and site content are the property of House of Eyeglasses LLC and may not be reproduced without permission.
Limitation of Liability
House of Eyeglasses LLC is not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the site or its products, or for issues resulting from an inaccurate prescription or measurements provided by the customer, to the fullest extent permitted under Florida law.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States.

Types of Cookies We Use
- Essential cookies: keep your cart and checkout working.
- Functional cookies: remember preferences like language or currency.

Managing Cookies
You can disable or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent checkout from working correctly.
Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are set by third parties we work with, such as our payment processor and analytics providers, under their own privacy and cookie policies.
4. Privacy Practices Summary

- We collect only what’s needed to process, verify, and manufacture your order — including prescription details for Rx orders.

- Prescription data is shared only with your prescriber (to verify, if needed) and our lab partner (to make your lenses).
- Payment is processed securely; we never see or store your full card number.
- You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data at any time, subject to recordkeeping rules.

6. Shipping Policy
Shipping Areas
We ship within the United States. International shipping may be added in the future.
Processing Time
Non-prescription orders ship after a short processing period. Prescription orders require additional time for lab verification and lens fabrication. Exact processing times will be published here before the store opens.
Estimated Delivery Time
Once shipped, transit time depends on the shipping method selected and is shown at checkout.
Shipping Costs
Shipping cost is calculated at checkout based on destination and weight.
Order Confirmation and Tracking
You’ll receive an email with a tracking number once your order ships. Prescription orders may include a separate notice when lenses complete lab fabrication.
Lost, Damaged, or Delayed Orders
If your order arrives damaged or doesn’t arrive within the estimated timeframe, contact us with your order number and we’ll work with the carrier to resolve it.
Shipping Addresses
Customers are responsible for providing a correct and complete shipping address. We are not responsible for delays or lost packages caused by an incorrect address.
7. Returns Policy
Non-Prescription Frames
We accept returns of non-prescription frames that are unworn and in original packaging, within the return window published here before the store opens.
Prescription Lenses and Eyewear
- Because prescription lenses are custom-made for you, they are not eligible for return or refund once fabrication has started, except as set out below.
- If we made an error filling the prescription or details you submitted (wrong power, wrong PD entered by us, manufacturing defect), we will remake your lenses at no cost; contact us as soon as you notice the problem.
- If your own submitted prescription or measurements were incorrect, a remake may be offered at a reduced fee — contact us to discuss options.
- Frames purchased along with prescription lenses follow the same custom-order terms as the lenses once assembled.
How to Start a Return or Remake Request
Email us at amm@houseofeyeglasses.com with your order number, a description of the issue, and photos if applicable.
Return Shipping Costs
Return shipping for an error on our part is covered by us. For all other approved returns, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility.
Refunds
Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method; the time it takes to appear depends on your bank.
8. Accessibility Statement
House of Eyeglasses LLC is committed to making our website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as a general guide, and we review the site periodically to improve accessibility.
This statement reflects our good-faith efforts and is not a guarantee that every page fully meets these guidelines at all times.
Contact Us
If you experience difficulty accessing any part of our site, email us at amm@houseofeyeglasses.com and describe the issue — we’ll work with you to provide the information or complete the transaction another way.
9. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
House of Eyeglasses LLC does not sell or share your personal information, including prescription information, with third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration, as those terms are defined under the CCPA. Because we don’t engage in that kind of sale or sharing, there is currently no data to opt out of.
If our practices change in the future, we will update this page and provide a working opt-out mechanism.
